Why don’t you ask USSoccer this?
Why can’t they love and respect both the men and women?
Or how about asking the people who only watch USMNT team play about fucking love and respect?
USWNT.They have always been one the great international soccer teams out there. They have never been ranked lower then number 2 on the FIFA world ranking.They have been number one or they have been number two in the WORLD. They have Five players in the top 12 of the highest international goal scorers on the team(thats counting Abby Wambach who is still playing and still scoring goals)And all of these players have 100 goals or more. AND yet everyone at USSoccer and in the News talks about how Landon Donovan is the “All time USSoccer leading goal scorer” When he in fact is not even fucking CLOSE to being USSoccer leading goal scorer.
I have spent my whole LIFE watching this team, I was raised on this team and I watched them grow and change players and coaches from Michelle Akers and the 99ers to the players playing now and they still have not faltered in their goal to be the greatest team in the world. EVERY SINGLE player that has ever played on the USWNT deserve more LOVE AND RESPECT then they have ever gotten. THEY ARE THE HARDEST WORKING AND THEY NEVER GET THE LOVE AND RESPECT.
Don’t get me wrong, I do like USMNT. I will root for them every-time they play, but I am not under any allusions that they are the greatest team out there. lets be real. They really are just okay.
BUT there will NEVER be a day where I will love and respect them as much I do the USWNT.
